Hi, I'm Megan.
I found a passion for photography in a high school Photo 101 class. I was given a 35 mm film camera to work with and a teacher who showed us the weight a photograph can carry. The dark room was soon one of my favorite places to be, carefully sizing and developing my work.
In 2015, I decided to take the leap and turn this hobby into a baby business with a 5 year goal to take it full time for myself. Fortunately, I was able to make that jump in a year and a half. Since then, I have photographed everything from newborns to weddings and I couldn't be happier with what I do. I pride myself on being a goof ball and celebrating the ways in which we are all a little weird.
At home, I have an incredibly adorable and sassy toddler named Calliope Jaye (she's a fantastic editing assistant), a few furry four legged creatures, and a lot of books; arguably too many books. I consider myself a bit of a nerd, with interests ranging from history to comics, to being able to quote most of Lord of the Rings and Supernatural.
In the future, I hope to travel the US and beyond with my daughter and explore the most beautiful places on earth with my clients, ever-searching for that perfect, fairytale lighting.

My name is Megan Freeman. As you can imagine, I've spent my life hearing a lot of Morgan Freeman jokes on and off and sometimes the occasional Freudian slip when addressing me by name; even in messages where my name is spelled out just above. I don't mind it particularly, but I did decide to use my middle and last name as my business handle instead. You can call me Megan, Meg, or Renee. I respond to all three!
